ALC 5

BU 6

Brescia jumped out to a 5-0 lead after four innings and looked to be on cruise control before the Eagles began to right the ship.

Trailing 6-1 in the bottom of the seventh, ALC mounted a huge rally. The big blow for ALC was delivered by first baseman Will Leonard (pictured above). With the bases loaded and his club down to their last at bat, Leonard crushed a fast ball for a mammoth grand slam home run. Suddenly, the deficit was reduced to just one (6-5). Unfortunately, the Eagles were unable to complete the comeback.

The Eagles were outhit 13-9 and left 9 costly runners stranded on base.

In addition to Leonard, left fielder Shane Pack went 3-3 on the day and Brandon Arnold added a double to drive in a run.

On the mound, Corey Brewer gave up 7 hits and 3 earned runs over three innings and suffered the loss.
