The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles softball team opened up the 2010-11 season last week playing four games. The team, under the tutelage of head coach John Mills, is very young and inexperienced. However, they are a hard-working group that is making positive strides every day. Below are recaps of each game.

The Lady Eagles traveled to Wilmore to face conference foe Midway. Jitters showed in the young squad as they only registered 1 hit, a single by Nicole Durman. Durman also swiped 2 bases.

ALC was only outhit 8-3, but hurt themselves with errors. For the Eagles, Rebecca Stansbury, Caitlyn Case, and Nikki Durman each had 1 hit.

Erica Smith had the lone hit for the Lady Eagles as they fell on the road to a tough squad from Asbury.

Alice Lloyd scored their lone run in the fourth. Erica Smith had a single and was knocked in by a Kayla Gooslin line drive. Nikki Durman also added a hit for ALC.
