{nl} {nl}Deliciously Dramatic!  Dessert and a Show at Alice Lloyd College May 5, 2010Fundraiser for Eagle Theatre & Fish-Cake ProductionsIn Cushing Hall on the ALC campusTickets:  $10.00{nl}Contact: Megan BurnettAssistant Professor of Speech and Theatre606-368-6050Fax: 606-368-6015{nl}Alice Lloyd College presents Fish-Cake Productions in their presentations of Shakespeare on the Move and Twain by the Tale.  Fish-Cake Productions is a traveling theatre troupe supporting ALC’s Admissions Department.  Fish-Cake Productions is directed by Megan Burnett, the Speech and Theatre professor at Alice Lloyd College.  {nl}The Alice Lloyd College Eagle Theatre Department and Fish-Cake Productions are offering a fundraising event on May 5.  They will present two plays, Shakespeare on the Move and Twain by the Tale, with a special Kentucky Derby dessert for the intermission fare.  We will serve mock-Mint Juleps and ALC’s version of Derby Pie.  Your $10 ticket will support our future productions and events.{nl}Shakespeare on the Move is a 25 minute play made up of monologues and scenes from some of William Shakespeare’s most famous plays.  There are love scenes, fight scenes, and of course, the witches from Macbeth.  Twain by the Tale adapted by Dennis Snee is a 40 minute play consisting of scenes and monologues from Mark Twain’s writings.  Included are scenes from The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. {nl}This evening will also serve as a farewell to Brandon Zellers who is transferring to another school in August, and Chris Cornett, a veteran of Fish-Cake Productions, who will transfer to UK this fall to pursue an Engineering degree.  Chris is also working to become a stand-up comedian, so if you attend you can say you saw Chris Cornett when he was just starting out.{nl}Come support ALC theatre, enjoy a tasty dessert, and see an exciting and fun performance by Fish-Cake Productions!
