Cincinnati, OH: The Alice Lloyd College Eagles took a 46-44 lead at the half, but were unable to make it hold as they fell on the road to the Cincinnati Christian University Eagles 105-85. The River States Conference matchup was held on Tuesday, February 13.

In the first half, the two squads battled each other from the opening tip. When the horn sounded for intermission, ALC led in a tight one, 46-44.

In the second half, sparked by the play of forward Blake Walsman, the hosts exploded. CCU was able to take the lead and build on their momentum.  Alice Lloyd went cold from the floor and saw Cincinnati explode for 61 second-half points to blow the contest wide open.

For ALC (14-12; 7-10 RSC), four players reached double-figures. They were led by senior center Jake Allen with 18 points. He was followed by sophomore forward Chance Cornett with 14 points. Sophomore guard Blake Smith and senior guard Austin Crisp chipped in with 13 and 12 points respectively. Crisp led the way with 4 assists and 3 steals while junior forward Dondre Warren led in rebounds with 8 and joined freshman guard Timmy Dalton with 8 points apiece.

Alice Lloyd connected on 40.6% (26-64) from the field and 30.4% (7-23) from long range. They hit 74.3% (26-35) from the foul line and added 32 rebounds. They also had 13 assists and 7 steals.

CCU (13-15; 7-8 RSC) was led by Walsman who had a monster game with 23 points and 22 rebounds. His club connected on 50.7% (38-75) from the field including 40.9% (9-22) from long range. They hit 71.4% (20-28) from the foul line and added 48 rebounds, 15 assists, and 9 steals.

ALC returns home on Saturday, February 17, when they close the regular season against Indiana University-Kokomo on senior day. Tipoff is set for 3:00 pm.
