The second ALC Eagle Invitational was played at Nob North Golf Course in Cohutta, Georgia October 30/31. The weather was seasonal, but cool. The course was in great shape. PGA of America Professional Eric Hester and his staff did a fantastic job of hosting the event. Tee markers and hole locations were changed for each round, and they mowed the greens between rounds 1 and 2, resulting in scores increasing by an average of 3 shots. Few courses do little more than allot tee times for college tournaments, and we greatly appreciate Nob North setting up the tournament properly.

Defending champions Bob Jones University won tournament, shooting 300/325 for 625 to defeat runner up Covenant College by 16 strokes. Medalist for the tournament was Kyle Olenchuck of Bob Jones who shot 74/78 to defeat teammate Jake Montgomery by 1 shot. Rounding out the all-tournament team were Hunter Long of Johnson University, Tyler Smith of Bob Jones and Nathan Hawkins of Covenant.

The Eagles golf team shot 339/349 for 688, 3rd of 4 teams. Eagles golfers were lead by freshman Tyler Davis who shot 81/83 for 164, good for a tie for 9th place of 28 golfers. Senior Jared Albright was 1 shot back of Davis to finish in 11th place. Freshman Isaiah Penley shot 83/88 for 171 to finish tied for 16th. Freshman Reece Ison shot 86/88 for 174 and 19th place. Sophomore Aaron Minor shot 88/90 for 178, 21st place and senior Tyler Brewer shot 94/96 for 190 and 24th place.
