We award the Eagles Women’s Athlete of the Week honor to basketball player Kayla Wilson.
Wilson, a native of Corbin, Kentucky, was solid as the club earned an impressive victory on Saturday. In the 82-71 season-opener against Warren Wilson College, the senior led her club with a double-double by scoring 16 points and snaring 10 rebounds. She shot 6-14 from the field and sank 4-7 three pointers. In addition, she had 3 steals and swatted 3 blocks. The Lady Eagles return to action on Saturday as they travel to Warren Wilson for a return match-up.
