We award the Female Athlete of the Week honor to Whitesburg, Kentucky sophomore cross country runner Kacey Troutt.
In the Run for the Water Barrel 5k at Lykens Park in Winchester, Kentucky, Troutt led the team in the 5K (3.1 miles) race as she crossed the line in a solid time of 23:40. Her swift performance helped pave the way as the Lady Eagle women’s squad won first place in the meet.
