The Alice Lloyd College Eagles journeyed to Bluefield, VA to battle the Bluefield College Rams on Wednesday. In a game that was delayed due to rain, the visitors fell 12-2.

The Eagles got out to a solid start as they scored a run in the second. They would enter the bottom of the fifth clinging to their 1-0 lead and were looking solid.

Unfortunately, the Rams had two big run innings, scoring five runs in the fifth and seven more in the seventh, to decide the game.

Bluefield pounded out 12 hits in the contest, led by Erik Williams who slammed his 19th home run of the season.

Roswel Rasario got the pitching victory in relief of starter Caleb Newman. Rasario pitched three scoreless innings allowed two hits and struck out three.

Logan Price suffered the loss on the mound while striking out two.

Ronnie Saylor and Austyn Turner each drove in a run for ALC while Alex White smacked a double. Their squad finished with 6 hits.
