It’s baseball season again in Pippa Passes! It’s time to break out the cleats, bats, and gloves for some exciting baseball action. The players have continued their training since the fall season and are confident that they are very prepared for the competition that they will face in the upcoming weeks. Their coach, Scott Cornett, had this to say about the upcoming season, “I am very excited about this season. We have some great guys this year. We have a lot of new recruits that are very strong assets to this team. I also have my two seniors, Ronnie Saylor and Ryne Loggins who have been a big part in helping lead the team and showing the freshman the ropes. I am anticipating a winning season and I am very confident that my guys will bring 110% to the field always and represent this school very well. I also would like to encourage everyone to come out to the games to see the work and dedication that our team has put in.”
Our campus is very much looking forward to cheering our baseball team to victory this semester, and we look forward to a winning season. Best of luck to our Baseball Eagles! Come out and show your support this Friday, February 10th as they take on Clarke University at home. The first pitch is scheduled for 12 noon.
