This past weekend our ALC Lady Volleyball Eagles came out with the first victory of the season over the Ohio University Lancaster Bobcats. The contest took place in Rio Grande, Ohio.

The two squads competed tooth and nail for five sets before the Eagles emerged victorious. The final score showed the competitiveness of the combatants: 17-25, 25-22, 25-11, 17-25, 17-15.

From an individual standpoint, Ariel Williams led the team in serving, Alex Hunter had the most assists to her teammates on the court, and Sam Sturgill came through very strong for her team with the most attacks this weekend. However, there were many players on the team that really stepped up to make this win possible, as it took a complete team effort.

As a whole, the team showcased all the hard work they have put in and they came out with a deserving win. Congratulations to our volleyball team and we look forward to seeing more victories this season.  ALC returns to action on September 10, when they travel to High Point, NC to battle the Laurel University Lions.
