In the first quarter, the hosts hung tough. Behind 6 quick points from sophomore Taylor Arthur,    the two squads battled evenly for the opening 7 minutes. However, the Red Wolves closed on a 7-1 run to lead 16-10 at the horn.

In the second quarter, East rode the play of guard Tia King and sprinted ahead courtesy of an 11-3 burst, 27-13.

ALC settled down and reeled off 10 consecutive points to shrink the deficit to just 4 (27-23) at the 2:36 mark, but Indiana East would close on a 6-1 run to lead 33-24 at intermission. At this point, King and Arthur had tossed in 16 and 12 points respectively to lead their squads.

In the second half, Alice Lloyd senior Megan Jones gave the crowd something to roar about as she drilled a bomb to make the score 33-27. Unfortunately for the hosts, the Red Wolves would answer convincingly.
