Alice Lloyd College’s volleyball team will look to some returning sophomore firepower and a new head coach as the season tips off.

Kari Huber, who played collegiately at John Brown University in Arkansas before transferring to Northeastern State in Oklahoma, is the new face on the coaching sidelines. She has coached at various levels for 23 years.

The Lady Eagles bring back three seniors: Delaney Pritchard, Clista Gussler and Captain Sarrah Huber. Also returning are junior Amber Reynolds, along with sophomores Maggie Wilkes, Savannah Sizemore and Desiree Ratliff. These ladies will provide the foundation for what they hope will be a successful season.

Four freshmen newcomers – Ariel Williams, Katelyn White, Tiffani McClanahan and redshirt Mackenzie Burke – will be asked to contribute immediately.

The first home match is Friday, September 4th against Asbury University. ALC competed in a tri-match at Appalachian Bible College to open the season. They came away from the match with a 1-1 record.

Alice Lloyd College, a longstanding member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), became a member of the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) in July.
