Coach Nathan HallNathan Hall has been named the new Head Softball coach at Alice Lloyd College. In addition to his coaching duties, Hall will also be serving as a safety officer for the Pippa Passes Police Department.

“Nathan is a quality fit in our athletics department”, stated Director of Athletics Gary D. Stepp. “As a graduate of ALC himself, he understands the opportunity our college provides student athletes and the work ethic it takes for them to succeed. He has worked closely in athletics with the school for the past several years, and he also possesses a burning desire to see our program grow.”

When asked what attracted him to the position, Hall commented,” I really enjoy being around the sport and believe it is a good opportunity for me.  I also am thankful for the chance to return and work for my alma mater because I really enjoyed the campus as a student here. Also, I look forward to working with such a close staff”.

As far as his expectations for his club, Hall said, “I want to see our team exhibit good character while putting ourselves in the position to win games. I also want to help prepare these ladies for life after they graduate. I believe by bringing in high quality student athletes, we can accomplish great things both on and off the field. I look forward to the challenge”.

Hall, a graduate of Betsy Layne High School in Betsy Layne, KY, is a 2014 alumnus of Alice Lloyd College. He served the school as assistant softball coach for two and one half seasons and has umpired both baseball and softball for six years.
