This past weekend, the young team from Alice Lloyd traveled to Richmond, Indiana to compete against their conference rivals IU East. The Eagles would have to go up against an experienced opponent in the Red Wolves. Coach Dustan Turner mentioned this year would be a rebuilding season for their program as the squad has a lot of young talent with a promising career to come. Two of those freshman, Kaleb Huber and Dakota Boggs , faced off against IUE senior Derek Blank and junior Connor Kramer. The visitors battled hard, winning 3 sets, before eventually succumbing to their experienced opponents 8-3. Unfortunately, IU won all singles matchups on the day.
The Eagles are back in action at home versus Brescia University this coming weekend. They close out their regular season schedule and move into the conference tournament hosted by Brescia later this month.
