Carla Booth, Alice Lloyd College — Women’s Basketball Player of the Week 5-6 Junior – Warfield, KY

 

Carla BoothAlice Lloyd College junior Carla Booth was named the KIAC women’s basketball player of the week by KIAC officials on Monday, February 17th. This is her second player of the week award of the season.

Alice Lloyd College finished the week 2-0 and moved into first place in the conference standings. Booth averaged 36.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 blocks and 2.5 steals in the two wins last week. Booth shot 55.3 percent (26-of-47) from the field and 52.9 percent from behind the 3-point line (9-of-17). She recorded 42 points, 4 assists, 2 blocks and 2 steals in the 107-105 win against Asbury University. The junior guard ended the week with 31 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 blocks and 3 steals in the Eagle’s 86-70 win against Midway College. Booth ranks 4th in the KIAC in points per game (19.55) and 3rd in assists per game (5.27). She also ranks 12th in NAIA Division II assists per game, 14th per game and is 16th in 3-point field goal percentage (41.6).

The Eagles are currently 16-7 overall and 11-3 in conference play. They will return to action on February 18th when they travel to Berea College.
