Volleyball

The Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles volleyball squad made the trek down south to Powell, Tennessee on Friday, October 11th, to take on the Crown College Lady Royal Crusaders and the Welch College Lady Flames. Here is a recap of the two matches.

The first match pitted Alice Lloyd against Crown College. The Lady Eagles fell to the hosts by the scores of 25-9, 25-13 and 25-15.

Jessie Carter led ALC with 3 kills while Macy Allen and Katie McFarland recorded 2 kills each. McFarland and Delaney Pritchard had 6 digs.

The nightcap featured ALC and Welch College. The Lady Eagles defeated the Lady Flames by the scores of 25-16, 25-14 and 25-19.

Sarrah Huber had 6 kills while Katie McFarland had 5 kills. McFarland also produced 3 digs.

After the match, Coach Jolene Watts commented on the win, “After many struggles and heartbreaking losses, we are pleased with the improvements our team has made. Their hard work and dedication paid off with the win over Welch, and we are very proud of them.”

The Lady Eagles will return to action on Friday, October 18th, in a tri-match at Berea College.
