The Alice Lloyd Eagles faced the Eagles of Asbury University on Thursday. Alice Lloyd came up short in this conference matchup, 82-63. The game was played at the Luce Center in Wilmore, Kentucky.

The home team got off to a scintillating start as they would take a huge lead in the first half over the visitors. From the outset, it was a struggle for ALC to get into any kind of rhythm as they trailed 50-27 at intermission.

In the second half, Alice Lloyd cut the lead down by as many as 13 points, but never got any closer.

For Alice Lloyd (9-13, 2-7 KIAC), Tyler Rogers had 15 points to go with 8 rebounds on the night while Terry Muse also scored in double figures with 11 and snagged 7 rebounds.

For Asbury (13-9, 4-3), Dakotah Euton led the team with 16 points.

January 26th

ALC versus the Brescia Bearcats

The Eagles traveled to Brescia for another stiff test as they faced the Bearcats on Saturday. In a close contest, the hosts prevailed 75-65.

In the first half, BU jumped out to a quick lead, but the visitors managed to slice into it over the closing minutes. The Bearcats only led 33-32 at intermission.

In the second half, the game remained nip and tuck, but unfortunately, the Eagles were unable to mount a comeback.

For ALC (9-14; 2-8 KIAC), Isaac Wilson and Tyler Rogers each chipped in with 13 points.

Brescia (7-15; 2-7 KIAC) was led by Myron Christian with 20 points.

The Eagles will be on the road again tomorrow, January 29th, as they take on Berea College. The game will follow the women’s game at 7:30 PM.
