The Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles traveled to Mt. Vernon, Ohio to face the highly regarded Mount Vernon Nazarene Cougars. Sparked by a 3–point shooting barrage, the hosts defeated the Eagles 93-65.

In the first half, Nazarene came out of the gates on fire as they connected on 7 of their first 10 threes and took a 36-15 lead at the 6:39 mark. Alice Lloyd opened the second half on a 12-4 run and looked as if they would post a comeback. Unfortunately, the Lady Cougars allowed their guests to get no closer, and they steadily pulled away. The final score was their largest lead of the night.

For ALC (0-2), sophomore Ariel Nickell led the way with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Gemma Gray tossed in 14 and freshman Taylor Hott chipped in with 11.

Sierra Fletcher led Mount Vernon (1-0) with 20.
