The Alice Lloyd College Eagles traveled to Bluefield, Virginia to face the Rams in a regularly scheduled double header.  Due to a torrential rainstorm, the squads were only able to complete the first game The trip, however, was a success as ALC pulled out a big 8-7 victory.

The Eagles scored first and gradually increased their lead to 8-3 after five innings. BC (8-16) saw four runners cross the plate in the bottom of the sixth.

Fortunately, the visitors were able to slam the door shut on the Rams over the last two innings, and they earned the road win.

Both squads registered 12 hits on the night.  The Eagles (9-11) were paced by left fielder Brandon Arnold who went 2- 4 with 3 RBI’s.  Jeff Cyrus and Chris Adams each added 2 hits apiece.

Pitcher Cory Brewer earned the victory on the mound. He received quality relief help from Tyler Williams and Andrew Riley.
