The Alice Lloyd Eagles put up a valiant effort, but still dropped an 85-76 decision to the highly regarded Asbury University Eagles last night.
In the first half, Asbury sharpshooter Phillip Morrison got the guests off to a torrid start by draining 3 three point buckets. AU led by as many as 15 before a late Alice Lloyd run cut the deficit to 45-35 at intermission.

Sparked by seniors Daniel Combs (Viper) and Will Jones (Manchester), the hosts sliced the deficit to just 6, with four minutes remaining. Asbury then scored on their next possession to end the last serious threat to their victory.
