The home standing Cincinnati Christian Eagles defeated the visiting Alice Lloyd Lady Eagles in a KIAC match up held Saturday night.In the first half, CCU got 15 points from Katie Comello, and they took a seven point lead (42-35) by intermission.{nl}In the second half, ALC hung tough and kept the game tight. However, they were unable to get closer than five points the remainder of the game as Cincinnati earned the conference victory.{nl}For ALC (4-11; 0-2), four players finished in double figures.  Sophomore Heather Martin led the way with 18.  Juniors Chelsea Jarrell and Nicole Lutes contributed 16 and 13 apiece, while sophomore Gemma Grey added 13 and a game high 9 rebounds.{nl}For CCU (11-4; 2-3), they were paced by Comello with 23.{nl}The Lady Eagles return to the hardwood on Monday, January 18th as they travel to Louisville to face the Eutectics from St. Louis College of Pharmacy. The important conference showdown will take place at 1pm.{nl}
