ALC Groups Participate in Operation Christmas Child

Several Alice Lloyd College student groups have been busy this holiday season working towards making Christmas brighter for children across the world.  The ALC Resident Advisors, Student Government Association, Baptist Collegiate Ministries, and Phi Beta Lambda decided to combine their efforts for Operation Christmas Child.  This program is sponsored by Samaritan’s Purse, a non-denominational organization.  Shoe boxes are collected and filled with items such as school supplies, toys, clothing and hygiene products—anything that will help a child have a merrier Christmas!  Once wrapped and delivered to Samaritan’s Purse, these boxes are distributed to children in countries that have been affected by war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine.  This year, Alice Lloyd students were able to collect enough items to fill 108 shoe boxes.
