Alice Lloyd College International Student Fact Sheet
Alice Lloyd College values the exchange of knowledge with international students. We are a small work study college whose service area includes the Appalachian Mountain region of the U.S. Students from outside this area may attend ALC in cooperation with its College Student Work Program. The cost for residents from outside ALC's territory, including international students is as follows:

How To Apply
Applications are accepted throughout the year from international students 18 years of age and above who have graduated from a secondary high school or by transfer from another college or university. Transfer credit from an American college or University will be accepted. A TOEFL test is required and the students must score 550 (pencil and paper) or 213 (computer based) minimum to be considered for admission.
International candidates for admission must:
- File an application with the Office of Admission. No application fee is required.
- Provide all educational documents from your school. Include transcripts from all schools or colleges attended.
- Provide results of TOEFL examination.
- Provide proof of financial ability. For this we require the enclosed Certification of Finances to be completed and an Official Bank Statement from your bank confirming your ability to pay. Original documents must be provided. No copies or fax copies will be accepted.
- Provide an F-1 Visa to participate in the student work program.
- Provide completed Alice Lloyd College Health Form with TB skin test results.
- All admission file documents must be reviewed prior to July 1st for year of application for Fall semester or December 15th for Spring semester.
Before acceptance and an I-20 can be issued, a deposit of $3,500.00 is required. This will be held in the student's account and will not be used toward tuition or other fees. This account will draw an interest of 3%. Your deposit will be returned upon graduation or withdrawal from Alice Lloyd College.
In addition to acceptable school documents and TOEFL results, the Certification of Finances, Official Bank Statement and $3,500.00 deposit are required of all international students prior to I-20 student status being offered.

Your deposit cannot be used for tuition, fees, or room and board.
International students will be required to pay a full semester payment of $2,961.00 for tuition, fees, room and board at the time of registration.
The amount shown is the total semester cost for tuiton, room and board of $3,620.00 minus $824.00 that will be applied from the student work program.
Prior to each semester following your admittance, the business office will review your financial checklist, consisting of the requirement above and sign off on the completed list.
Failure to meet these requirements will be cause for denial of registration. Unless you locate an alternate school to attend, the US Immigration and Naturalization Service will be notified of your denial, and your deposit will be returned to you for the airfare home.
Students arriving in the United States may make arrangements with the college to be picked up no later than two weeks before arriving to the United States by calling 606-368-6134 or 6036. If arranging by writing, you must write two weeks before arrival date. Early or late arrivals of more than 4 hours may be asked to provide their own transportation to the college. Students will be picked up at the Lexington Bluegrass Airport, Lexington, Kentucky. Pickups will not be made at any other airport. Otherwise, travel to the college will be your responsibility.
If arriving by Greyhound Bus, pick-ups will be made at the Lexington, KY or Corbin, KY locations only.
All Travel Within The US Is The Responsibility Of The Student.
