JBS student Dylan Moore has been selected to participate in the 2015 Kentucky National Geographic State Bee, sponsored by Google and Plum Creek. The contest will be held at WKU Bowling Green on Friday, March 27, 2015.
On Saturday, November 8, the June Buchanan Crusaders opened their Academic Team season in the JV Challenge. This freshman and sophomore level competition was held at Prestonsburg High School, and six high schools (JBS, Prestonsburg HS, South Floyd HS, Allen Central HS, Betsy Layne HS, and Piarist) took part in the day’s events.
The June Buchanan School is an institution built on a strong sense of devotion to one’s community. Charity Cook, JBS senior, recently exemplified this by encouraging her fellow classmates and teachers to participate in a school-wide shoe drive.
