The 22nd Annual James V. Mongiardo Public Speaking Contest was held on February 25, 2014, at the Campbell Arts Center. This competition was established by the Mongiardo family in honor of the late James V. Mongiardo, who graduated from Alice Lloyd College in 1934 and was a faithful supporter of the College over the years.

The Alice Lloyd Eagles made the long trek to Owensboro, Kentucky on Tuesday, February 25th, to battle the Brescia Bearcats. In this quarterfinal matchup of the KIAC Tournament, ALC was thought to be the underdog. Despite the challenge of having to face a higher seed on their home court, the Eagles were able to rally late in the second half to force overtime and prevailed in the extra period, 75-71.
The Alice Lloyd Eagles baseball squad ventured to Pikeville, Kentucky to take on the UPike Bears on Tuesday afternoon. The Eagles won the extra-inning-marathon (13) against Pikeville by a score of 3-2.
Alice Lloyd College is pleased to announce that it will be the host of the 2014 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletics Conference (KIAC) Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament. Games in the tournament's Final Four, as well as the Championship games, will be played at the College's Grady Nutt Athletic Center on Friday, February 28th and Saturday, March 1st.

The Alice Lloyd Eagles hosted the Brescia Bearcats on Sunday, February 23rd. The Eagles used a great defensive performance and got scoring from everyone as the home team won in convincing fashion, 82-67.
Six Alice Lloyd College students have been awarded Frankfort Semester Internships and are spending their spring semester working and studying in Kentucky's state capital. Their selection for the 12-week program marks the largest number of students from the same school ever chosen at one time for the competitive internships.
