The ALC golf team competed at the Berea Spring Tee Off Tournament at the Battlefield Golf Club in Richmond, KY. Conditions were very difficult the first day with cool temperatures, high winds and a very wet golf course. The Eagles struggled to a team score of 390.
Tuesday may have been April Fool’s Day, but the Alice Lloyd College Eagles Cross Country program had an enjoyable day for all the right reasons, as they are pleased to announce the signing of Sullivan East (TN) senior Allison Boling to a cross country letter of intent. The signing took place on the campus of Alice Lloyd College.
The ALC Men's Golf Championship was held at Stonecrest Golf Course in Prestonsburg, KY on March 27th and 28th. Eight golfers competed in the two-day championship. The winner was senior Cody Hyden, who went 76/77 for the two rounds for a total of 153.
On Saturday, April 5th, Alice Spencer Geddes Lloyd will return to Pippa Passes as Jacqueline Hamilton portrays her in the Kentucky Humanities Council's Kentucky Chautauqua. Hamilton will perform her skit, "Stay On, Stranger," in the Cushing Hall auditorium at 1 PM. The event is free and open to the public.
Director Megan Burnett and Alice Lloyd College's Eagle Theatre Club are proud to present their spring production, Censored on Final Approach, to the campus community on April 3rd, 4th, and 5th at 7:30 PM each night in the Campbell Arts Center. Admission is free and open to the public.
The next event in the Caney Convocation Series is sure to be a special treat on the spring calendar. Elaine McMillion-Sheldon, an award-winning documentary storyteller and visual journalist from West Virginia, will present her film, Hollow, to our campus community. Hollow has already garnered national attention and prestigious awards, landing McMillion-Sheldon on Filmmaker Magazine's 25 New Faces of Independent Film. Please join us for this exciting event on Tuesday, April 1st, at 7:30 PM in the Ralph Edwards Auditorium on the campus of Alice Lloyd College.
