LADY EAGLES BEAT UC-CLERMONT
Lose to KCU and Mid-Continent
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles played three games on the road last week. They began with a game at Kentucky Christian University on Tuesday. They couldn’t find the basket (18 of 52 from the field) in a 71-42 loss. Taran Cody, Camille Cook and Nicole Lutes each scored 9 points in the game. Cody and Cook also had 8 and 7 rebounds, respectively.
On Friday and Saturday, the Lady Eagles played in a tournament at Asbury College. On Friday night, they lost to Mid-Continent University, 76-72. Poor shooting (22 of 67 from the field) contributed to the outcome. Cody (21 pts, 13 rebs), Kaylan Richardson (14 pts, 5 rebs, 5 assists), Sierra Wynn (12 pts, 3 rebs), and Cook (10 pts, 7 rebs) were in double figures for the Lady Eagles. Whitney Frazier scored 8 points and had 2 assists.The Lady Eagles rebounded with an 81-71 win over UC-Clermont on Saturday. Wynn scored 16 points and had 3 rebounds. Cook (13 pts, 4 rebs), Lutes (13 pts, 7 rebs) and Cody (10 pts, 8 rebs) were also in double figures. Autumn Morris had a good game with 9 points and 6 rebounds.The Lady Eagles will play at Bellarmine University this Saturday. Their next game will on January 5 vs Montreat College.

LADY EAGLES LOSE TO PIKEVILLE AND MOREHEAD STATE UNIVERSITY
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles lost two tough games last week to Pikeville College, 82-68 and Morehead State University, 83-60. The game on Tuesday was at Pikeville. The game was tied at 33 at halftime, however, the Lady were outscored 49-35 in the second half in route to the loss. Taran Cody led four players in double figures with 15 points. She also added 7 rebounds. Kaylan Richardson and Nicole Lutes each added 11 points. Camille Cook had a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Lyndsey Mahon had 8 points and 4 rebounds.
The Lady Eagles traveled to Morehead on Saturday. The battled well against the NCAA Div. I team, trailing by less than 10 points with less than ten minutes to play in the game. Richardson led the way with 20 points and 6 rebounds. She was 6 of 10 from three point range. Cook was also in double figures with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Cody had 8 points and 12 rebounds.
This week the Lady Eagles will travel to Kentucky Christian University on Tuesday and will play in the Asbury Tournament on Friday and Saturday.

LADY EAGLES CONTINUE TO PLAY WELL
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles continue to play well in the early part of the season. They won three of four games last week. They started last Tuesday night with an 81-49 win over UV@Wise. Kaylan Richardson (16 pts, 10 rebs) led five players in double figures. She was followed by Camille Cook with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Sierra Wynn and Nicole Lutes each chipped in with 12 points. Lyndsey Mahon had 10 points and 6 rebounds and Taran Cody had 6 points and 4 rebounds. Other stats: Whitney Frazier (4 pts, 6 assists), Autumn Morris (4 pts, 5assists), Ashley Sexton (2 pts, 4 rebs) and Cassie Whitaker (2 pts, 3 assists).
On Thursday, the Lady Eagles continued with a 77-65 win over Virginia Intermont. Cook finished with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Mahon and Richardson had 12 points each. Other stats: Wynn (9 pts, 5 rebs), Whitaker (8 pts, 4 rebs), Cody (7 pts, 4 rebs), Lutes (7 pts, 6 rebs), Frazier (5 pts, 3 assists), Morris (1 pt, 2 assists) and Sexton (5 rebs).
On Friday and Saturday, the Lady Eagles traveled to Bluefield College (VA) for a tournament. They lost their first game of the year to Emmanuel College by the score of 83-56. Richardson and Cody each scored 12 points, followed by Cook with 11 points and Lutes with 10 points. Wynn scored 7 and Frazier finished with 4 points. Mahon led the team in rebounding with 6.
The Lady Eagles bounced back on Saturday with an 83-77 win over Southern Wesleyan University. Cook had a double-double with 23 points and 10 rebounds. She was followed by Cody and Richadson with 15 points each. Lutes was also in double figures with13 points.
The Lady Eagles next game will be on November 28 at Pikeville College.

LADY EAGLES OPEN
SEASON WITH TWO WINS
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles opened the 2007-08 season in fine fashion last week with wins over Kentucky Christian University, 72-69 and Mid-Continent University, 73-62. In the win over KCU on Tuesday, the Lady Eagles fell behind early but fought back to lead 34-31 at halftime. Sophomore center Becky Thomas led the way with 26 points and 11 rebounds. She was joined in double figures by Camille Cook (14 pts, 4 rebs, 7 assists) and Taran Cody (12 pts, 7 rebs). Nicole Lutes had 8 points and 3 rebounds. She was followed by Sierra Wynn (5 pts, 2 rebs), Kaylan Richardson and Whitney Frazier each had 3 points and 3 rebounds. Lyndsey Mahon had 3 rebounds and 1 point. The Lady Eagles traveled to Spalding University in Louisville for a neutral court game with Mid-Continent University on Friday night. They led 40-36 at halftime in route to the 73-62 win. Thomas (14 pts, 2 rebs), Lutes (13 pts, 3 rebs), Cook (10 pts, 8 rebs), and Frazier (10 pts, 3 rebs, 2 assists) were in double figures. Richardson followed with 9 points and 3 rebounds. Cody chipped in 8 points and 6 rebounds. Mahon had a good game with 6 points and 5 rebounds. Wynn scored 1 point. The Lady Eagles next game will be Nov. 13 when they host UV@Wise.

ALICE LLOYD COLLEGE LADY EAGLES BASKETBALL SIGNEES
Coach David Adams of the ALC Lady Eagles had signed five basketball players for next year. He has signed a forward, two shooting guards and two point guards. Nicole Lutes is a 6”0” forward from Breathitt County High School. Lutes averaged 16 points and 8 rebounds for the Lady Bobcats.Bailey Gabbard is a 5’8” shooting guard from Powell High School in Tennessee. She averaged 14 points and 4 assists last year.Ashley Sexton, a 5’7” shooting guard from Letcher Central will also join the Lady Eagles. She averaged 12 points and 4 assists per game this year.Whitney Frazure (PG) is a 5”7” speedster from Lawrence County High School. She averaged 17 points and 5 assists per game this year. Autumn Morris (PG, 5’8”, Class of 2006) from Letcher Central High School will be back in action after sitting out last year.The Lady Eagles won the regular season play in the KIAC last year and they were runners-up in the Conference tournament.

The Lady Eagles had a very good year. They won the KIAC regular season championship. They were Runner-up in the KIAC Conference tournament, one game away from a berth in the National Tournament. Chastity Fox and Whitney Lykens were named to the All Conference Team. Becky Thomas was named KIAC Player of the Year. Coach David Adams was named KIAC Coach of the Year.

LADY EAGLES FIGHT FOR A

Win Regular Season Championship, Advance to Tournament Finals
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles just finished a very successful season. They won the regular season KIAC Conference Championship. They played in the finals of the Conference tournament on Saturday and lost a heartbreaker to Berea by the score of 88-85. A National Tournament berth was on the line in the game. The Lady Eagles got off to a good start, leading 9-2 early in the game. However, Berea fought back to take a 48-40 halftime lead. The Lady Eagles tied the score at 77 with just under five minutes to go in the game. Freshman center and KIAC Player of the Year Becky Thomas had a great game with 25 points and 21 rebounds for the Lady Eagles. Kaylan Richardson also had a very good game with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Whitney Lykens followed with 14 points. Senior PG Chastity Fox finished with 5 points and 9 assists. Sierra Wynn (8 pts, 4 rebs), Elisha Hall (5 pts, 9 rebs) and Taran Cody (7 pts, 5 rebs) rounded out the scoring for the Lady Eagles.
The Lady Eagles advanced to the finals with a 76-59 win over Asbury College in the semi-finals on Friday. They led 33-31 at halftime and then outscored Asbury 43-28 in the second half. Lykens (22 pts, 5 rebs), Fox (19 pts, 4 rebs, 4 assists) and Thomas (14 pts, 9 rebs) led the way for the Lady Eagles.

KIAC Women’s Coach of the Year
David Adams, Head coach of the Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles was named KIAC Conference Coach of the Year this past Saturday at the Conference Tournament in Louisville. The Lady Eagles won the regular season championship with a 9-1 Conference record on the year. The Lady Eagles lost to Berea in the finals of the Conference tournament on Saturday by the score of 88-85.

The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles were well represented last weekend when the final votes were cast for top honors in the KIAC Conference. Freshman center Becky Thomas was named Player of the Year in the Conference. Senior point guard Chastity Fox and Junior forward Whitney Lykens were also named to the ten member All-Conference Team. Other players named to the team were: Rebecca May and Candy Walls of Berea, Anna Stephenson of Asbury, Allie Graves of Spalding, Kayla Rieckers and Andrea Chambers of IUS, and Ashley Parker of Midway.

LADY EAGLES WIN REGULAR SEASON KIAC CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
Wins over Asbury and Spalding
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles, under the direction of Coach David Adams, won the KIAC regular season championship last week with wins over Asbury College (72-55) and Spalding University (66-63). In the Asbury game on Tuesday, The Lady Eagles led 32-28 at halftime and then outscored Asbury, 40-27, in the second half. Whitney Lykens led the way with 23 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists. She was followed by Becky Thomas with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Taran Cody, Chastity Fox and Kaylan Richardson each scored 10 points in the game.
On Saturday afternoon, the Lady Eagles pulled out a close one over Spalding University to help them win the Conference Championship. They led 28-24 at halftime; however, Spalding fought back to take a 6 point lead with about 4 minutes to go in the game. The Lady Eagles then played like champions down the stretch and claimed the three point win. Thomas led the way with 19 points and 5 rebounds. The rest of the scoring was very balanced for the team. Elisha Hall pulled down 11 rebounds to go along with 8 points. Cody had 6 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Fox had 7 assists.
The Lady Eagles (15-11, 9-1 in KIAC) have the number one seed in the tournament next week at Louisville. They will play on Friday night at 8:00. Their opponent will be the winner of the Spalding University-Asbury game.

LADY EAGLES LOSE TO UV@WISE
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles were on the road last week at the University of Virginia @ Wise. The Lady Eagles trailed 44-42 at halftime and lost the game, 88-79. Kaylan Richardson (25 pts, 3 rebs, 4 assists) and Becky Thomas (20 pts, 6 rebs) led the way. Whitney Lykens (13 pts, 4 rebs, 3 assists) was also in double figures. Taran Cody chipped in with 8 points. PG Chastity Fox had 6 points, 4 assists and 4 rebounds. The Berea game scheduled for last Tuesday night was postponed.
This week, the Lady Eagles will travel to Wilmore to play Asbury on Tuesday night. On Saturday, they will play at Spalding University in Louisville. The Berea game (Senior Night) has been rescheduled for Monday, February 19 at 5:30

Lose to Pikeville
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles finished the week on a positive note with a 72-59 win over Indiana University-Southeast in a KIAC Conference game. The Lady Eagles led 33-29 at halftime in route to the win. Five players were in double figures, led by Whitney Lykens (14 pts, 4 rebs) and Kaylan Richardson (14 pts, 5 assists). Becky Thomas had 13 points and 3 rebounds. Elisha Hall had 12 points and 4 rebounds. Chastity Fox had 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Taran Cody pulled down 12 rebounds to go along with 8 points.
Earlier in the week, the Lady Eagles fell to Pikeville College by the score of 91-68. Lykens (16 pts, 6 rebs) and Fox (15 pts, 5 rebs) were the only players in double figures. Cody had 9 points and 3 rebounds. The Lady Eagles were plagued with very poor shooting (20 of 68 from the field) throughout the game.
This week the Lady Eagles will host Berea on Tuesday night. This will also be senior night at the Grady Nutt Athletic Complex. On Thursday night, they will travel to Wise, VA to play UV@Wise.

LADY EAGLES BEAT ASBURY AND MIDWAY, LOSE TO

Currently Tied for Lead in KIAC
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles are playing their best basketball of the season. They are currently tied with Berea College for first place in the KIAC. Last week, they beat Asbury 81-61 and Midway 94-38, before losing on the road to Brescia University by the score of 87-55.
In the Asbury game, the Lady Eagles led 44-39 at halftime in route to the win. Becky Thomas followed up her National Player of the Week in fine fashion with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 3 blocked shots. She was followed by three other teammates in double figures: Kaylan Richardson (20 pts, 12 rebounds), Chastity Fox (12 pts, 7 assists) and Elisha Hall (10 pts, 5 rebs).
On Thursday night, the Lady Eagles hosted Midway College and came away with a surprisingly easy 94-38 win. Five players were in double figures led by Richardson (16 pts, 6 assists) and Whitney Lykens (16 pts, 5 rebs, 3 assists). Taran Cody had 15 points and 11 rebounds. Thomas had 12 points and 5 rebounds and Sierra Wynn chipped in 10 points.
The Lady Eagles traveled to Owensboro on Saturday to play Brescia University. They trailed 45 -30 at halftime and lost 87-55. Taran Cody led the team with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Becky Thomas had 13 points and 6 rebounds in the game.
This week the Lady Eagles will play at Pikeville College on Tuesday and will host IU-Southeast on Saturday afternoon at 2:00

BECKY THOMAS WINS NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Becky Thomas, a 6’0” freshman center for the Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles recently won KIAC and National Player of the Week honors for the week ending January 21. In a 91-82 win over 17th ranked Berea she had 27 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. In an 88-75 win over Spalding University, she had 34 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 blocked shots. She finished the week hitting an amazing 25 of 38 field goal attempts. She currently ranks fourth in the country in Division II field goal percentage. Becky is a graduate of Allen Central High School.

Win Over Spalding
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles got two big Conference wins last week. On Tuesday night, they traveled to Berea to play the 17th ranked Lady Mountaineers and came away with a 91-82 win. Freshman center Becky Thomas had a great game with 27 points and 12 rebounds. Sophomore forward Kaylan Richardson also had a good game with 14 points, 9 assists, and 3 rebounds. Whitney Lykens (JR, 13 pts, 11 rebs) and Elisha Hall (10 pts, 9 rebs) were also in double figures. Senior PG Chastity Fox had 9 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Junior Taran Cody had 8 points and 7 rebounds.
On Saturday afternoon, the Lady Eagles hosted Spalding University. They led 45-38 at halftime and came away with an 88-75 win. Thomas had another big game with 34 points and 9 rebounds. Richardson had 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Lykens (14 pts, 9 rebs) and Hall (11 pts, 9 rebs) were also in double figures.

LADY EAGLES PLAY IN TOURNAMENT IN FLORIDA
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles traveled to Orlando, Florida for a tournament at Warner-Southern College on January 5 and 6. In their first game, they played Johnson & Wales College (FL). They trailed 40-38 at halftime in route to an 88-75 loss. Freshman center Becky Thomas led three players in double figure scoring with 15 points and 8 rebounds. Sophomore Kaylan Richardson had 13 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. PG Chastity Fox chipped in with 11 points and 3 assists.
In their second game of the tournament, the Lady Eagles lost a tough game to Flagler College (FL) by the score of 73-72. The Lady Eagles had a shot to win the game at the buzzer, but it rimmed out. Freshman forward Sierra Wynn led the way with 18 points. Richardson (14 pts, 8 rebs, 4 asists) and Whitney Lykens (14 pts, 6 rebs) were also in double figures.

LADY EAGLES WIN OVER SLCOP
Lose to Indiana University-Southeast
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles played two KIAC Conference games on the road last week. On Friday night they played the Saint Louis College of Pharmacy on a neutral court in Louisville. They came away with a 70-40 win. Twelve players reached the scoring column, led by Kaylan Richardson wit 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Whitney Lykens (13 pts, 4 rebs) and Becky Thomas (11 pts, 5 rebs) were also in double figures.
On Saturday afternoon, the Lady Eagles played at Indian University-Southeast (New Albany, IN). The Lady Eagles trailed 30-23 at halftime and lost the game 58-49. They were very cold from the field, hitting only 2 of 20 three point FG attempts and hitting only 21 of 55 total FG attempts. Thomas led the way with 14 points and 4 rebounds. Lykens (10 pts, 5 rebs) and Richardson (10 pts, 6 rebs) were also in double figures. Taran Cody had 8 points and 5 rebounds.
This week, the Lady Eagles will travel to Berea on Tuesday and will host Spalding University on Saturday afternoon at 2:00.

The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles closed out the first half of their season with a win at Midway College last Saturday, 87-82. Freshman center Becky Thomas led the Lady Eagles with 18 points and 9 rebounds. Whitney Lykens had 12 points and 11 rebounds. Elisha Hall (12 pts, 6 rebs) and Chastity Fox (10 pts, 6 assists) were also in double figures. Taran Cody had 9 points and 9 rebounds.
The Lady Eagles have some time off until a tournament in Florida on January 5&6 at Warner-Southern College.

LADY EAGLES LOSE TO KENTUCKY CHRISTIAN
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles lost their only game last week on the road at Kentucky Christian University, 91-54. Whitney Lykens (18 pts, 6 rebs) and Becky Thomas (11 points) were the only players to reach double figures in scoring. The Lady Eagles could not find the basket, hitting only 19 of 72 FG attempts (26 %).

LADY EAGLES LOSE TO PIKEVILLE AND KING COLLEGE
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles played two good teams last week. On Tuesday night they lost to Pikeville College, 71-64, in a very good ballgame. The game was close throughout. Kaylan Richardson led the way with 16 points and 2 rebounds. Whitney Lykens (15 pts, 6 rebs) and Becky Thomas (10 p ts, 7 rebs) were also in double figures. PG Chastity Fox had 9 points and 4 assists. Taran Cody chipped in with 6 points and 5 rebounds. Tonya Amburgey led the way for Pikeville with 22 points.
On Thursday night, the Lady Eagles hosted King College (TN). The Lady Eagles trailed 31-29 at halftime, but King broke the game open midway through the second half for a 82-64 win. Richardson led the team with 18 points and 4 rebounds. She was followed by Thomas with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Lykens was also in double figures with 11 points and 4 rebounds. Cody had 8 points and 5 rebounds.

The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles won their only game last week in a 70-53 win over Mid-Continent University. The game was tied at 28 at halftime, but the Lady Eagles outscored the Lady cougars 42-25 in the second half for the win. Becky Thomas led the way with 18 points and 7 rebounds. She was followed by Whitney Lykens with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Chastity Fox (10 points, 6 assists) and Elisha Hall (11 points, 4 steals, 4 rebounds) were also in double figures. Taran Cody had 9 points and 8 rebounds.

LADY EAGLES PUT UP BIG NUMBERS WITH THREE WINS
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles won three of four games last week. On Monday night, they hosted Freewill Baptist College from Nashville, TN and came away with a 104-56 win. Whitney Lykens, Kaylan Richardson, and Sierra Wynn each scored 16 points. Becky Thomas had 12 and Chastity Fox and Cassie Whitaker each scored 10 points in the game.
On Wednesday night, the Lady Eagles hosted Montreat College and came away with a 91-63 win. Thomas scored 28 points and pulled down 13 rebounds in the game. Lykens (22 points) and Richardson (11 points) were also in double figures.

The Lady Eagles got back on the winning track on Saturday with a 120-25 win over Warren Wilson College (NC). Lykens and Richardson had 19 and 17, respectively. Wynn pitched in with 15 points. Tabatha Sprouse was also in double figures with 12 points.
This week, the Lady Eagles’ only game will be on Tuesday night against Mid-Continent University. The game will be played on a neutral court at Spalding University in Louisville.

The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles hosted the UV@Wise Lady Cavaliers last Thursday night in a very exciting game that went down to the wire, losing 77-71. Becky Thomas had an outstanding game with 17 points and 17 rebounds. Whitney Lykens continued playing well with 22 points and 3 rebounds. Other stats: Kaylan Richardson (9 pts, 3 rebs, Elisha Hall (8 pts, 3 rebs), Chastity Fox (5 pts, 2 assists), Taran Cody (5 pts, 6 rebs), and Cassie Whitaker (2 pts).
ALC EAGLES AND LADY EAGLES BASKETBALL SEASONS TIP OFF
Kentucky Christian, Pikeville College Early Season Opponents
Basketball season gets under way this Tuesday night at the Grady Nutt Athletic Center in Pippa Passes as the men’s and women’s teams tip off with a doubleheader against Kentucky Christian University. The women’s game will begin at 5:30 followed by the men’s game around 7:30. On Thursday night the women will host Brescia University at 6:00 followed by the Eagles hosting long-time rival Pikeville College at 8:00. On Saturday, the Eagles will travel to western Kentucky to play Mid-Continent University.
ALC Lady Eagles Win Bluefield Tournament
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles played this past weekend in the Bluefield College Tournament. They beat Point Park 77-66 on Friday night and then won over Bluefield 103-76 in the finals on Saturday. In the win over Point Park, five Lady Eagles scored in double figures, led by Freshman Kristal Daniels with 20 points and 18 rebounds and Sophomore Whitney Lykens with 15 points, 10 rebounds and 8 assists. Other double figure scorers included Belicia Mullins (13 pts), Amy Jackson (14 pts, 9 rebs), and Chastity Fox (11 pts, 6 assists). Taran Cody and Elisha Hall each scored 2 points.
In the finals on Saturday, Lykens had another good game with 23 points. Daniels had another double-double with 16 points and 16 rebounds. Mullins had 18 points and 9 assists, followed by Cody with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Hall chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. Other stats: Jackson (9 pts, 3 rebs), Fox (3 pts, 6 assists), Jamie Bonza (2 pts, 2 assists), Kayla Bentley (2 pts), Keisha Johnson (3 pts), and Kaylan Richardson (2 pts, 3 rebs).
The Lady Eagles only game this week will be at Appalachian Bible College on Saturday. They are scheduled to play rival Union College next Tuesday night.
LADY EAGLES BEAT MIDWAY AND ST. LOUIS COLLEGE OF PHARMACY
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles won two games last week as they won over Midway College, 74-65 and St. Louis College of Pharmacy, 87-54. In the Midway game, the Lady Eagles led 36-27 at halftime. However, Midway cut the deficit to four points late in the game before the Lady Eagles pulled away down the stretch. Five players scored in double figures for the Lady Eagles, led by Freshman center Kristal Daniels who had a double-double with 11 points and 16 rebounds. Seniors Belicia Mullins (18 points, 3 assists) and Amy Jackson (13 pts and 4 rebs) also had good games. Whitney Lykens had 12 points and Chastity Fox had 11 points and 5 assists. Other stats: Jamie Bonza (2 pts), Taran Cody (5 pts, 3 rebs), Kaylan Richardson (2 pts, 2 rebs), and Elisha Hall (3 rebs).
On Saturday, the Lady Eagles played St. Pharmacy Pharmacy on a neutral court at IU-Southeast in New Albany, IN. They led 34-21 at halftime in route to the 87-54 win. Mullins (18 pts), Keisha Johnson (13 pts, 3 rebs) and Bonza (12 pts, 7 assists) were in double figures for the Lady Eagles. Other stats: Lykens (5 pts, 4 rebs), Daniels (6 pts, 8 rebs), Jackson (5 pts, 2 rebs), Fox (4 pts, 5 assists), Kayla Bentley (3 pts, 1 reb), Cody (2 pts, 4 rebs), Abby Shaffer (2 pts), Richardson (9 pts, 3 rebs), Whitaker (2 pts), and Hall (6 pts, 11 rebs). Tabatha Sprouse also saw action in the game.
The Lady Eagles will host Appalachian Bible on Monday. They will travel to Kentucky Christian University on Thursday and they will host Bethel College on Saturday.
LADY EAGLES WIN ONE, LOSE TWO
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles played three games last week. On Monday night they won over Appalachian Bible College (WV), by the score of 90-25. They grabbed the lead early and led 43 -10 at halftime in route to the win. On Thursday night, the Lady Eagles traveled to Grayson to play Kentucky Christian University. It was a very close game throughout. The Lady Eagles trailed by only 2 points at halftime. However, they were unable to find the basket in the second half, losing by the score of 78-67. Lykens (21 pts) and Daniels (13 pts) were the only players in double figures. Other scoring: Bonza, 4 pts; Mullins, 6 pts; Fox, 9 pts; Adams, 6 pts; Richardson, 2 pts; and Jackson, 6 pts.
On Saturday, the Lady Eagles hosted Bethel College in their third KIAC conference game of the year. The Lady Eagles trailed 38-36 at halftime. They were outscored 42-31 in the second half in route to an 80-67 loss. Richardson (13 pts) and Lykens (11 pts, 6 rebs) led the way for the Lady Eagles. This coming Saturday, the Lady Eagles are scheduled to host Indiana University-Southeast @ 4:00. Next Tuesday, they will travel to Bristol, VA to play Virginia Intermont College.
