Why did you choose to attend Alice Lloyd College?
One of the main reasons I chose ALC is because of all the opportunities they offer. Alice Lloyd College isn't just a typical institution, it is so much more. ALC offered me the Appalachian Leaders College Scholarship because I'm from the service area. This means they help pay for my tuition. I couldn't afford to go anywhere else so ALC is making my dreams come reality. I just love it here!
What do you enjoy most about being an athlete at Alice Lloyd College?
Becoming an athlete at ALC was one of the most important decisions I have made. Being an athlete at ALC has helped me to develop leadership skills, team work and perseverance. I really enjoy being a part of the cross country team because we are like a one big family. Most of all, I like being a role model for anyone who looks up to athletes.
What advantages have you received from participating in the work study program at Alice Lloyd College?
The work study program has taught me how to be a leader. By working as an assistant Head R.A., I have learned how to be responsible, how to manage my time, how to plan activities.
What advice would you give to incoming student athletes to ensure their success at ALC?
Always make sure you manage your time. Remember that your studies come first, then participate in all the campus activities that you can!
