ADAMS AND MYNSTER SIGN WITH ALICE LLOYD
Ramey Adams and Ashley Mynster signed last week to continue their softball careers with the Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles. Both players are from Letcher Central High School. Adams is a pitcher who is considered one of the best in the 14th Region. Mynster plays first base and the outfield.

The Lady Eagles ended their season last Friday in the first round of the KIAC Tournament at Midway. They lost to Indiana University-Southeast 14-0 in the single elimination tournament. Krista hardy had a double and Nicole Slone had a single in the game. IUS won the tournament. They beat Spalding University in the finals.

The Lady Eagles played at Berea on Tuesday of last week and hosted Indiana University-Southeast on Friday in the final week of the regular season. They lost the doubleheader at Berea, 12-3 and 14-6. Holly Burton had 2 singles. Misty Wells had a single and an RBI and Lauren Combs had a double and an RBI in the first game. In the second game, Taran Cody had a single and a double, Krista Hardy had 3 singles. Kendra Ratliff, Jessica Music, Nicole Slone, and Combs each had a hit in the game. Ratliff, Slone, Hardy, and Cody had RBI’s in the game.
On Friday, the Lady Eagles hosted IUS, losing both games, 15-0 and 11-0. Kendra Ratliff had the only hit in the first game. Alison Gannaway, Krista Hardy, and Cody had hits in the second game.
This week, the Lady Eagles will play in the KIAC Tournament at Midway. The Lady Eagles will play Indiana University-Southeast at 1:00 on Thursday. It is a double elimination tournament.

The Lady Eagles hosted Union last Monday, losing a doubleheader 13-0 and 10-2. They were held hitless in the first game. In the second game, they picked up 6 hits. Krista Hardy had a double. Nicole Slone had a single and an RBI. Taran Cody, Lauren Combs, Holly Burton and Becky Thomas each had singles in the game.
A doubleheader against Brescia was postponed and rescheduled for this Saturday in conjunction with a doubleheader at Spalding University on Sunday. The Lady Eagles will also host Midway College on Friday at 1:00.

The Lady Eagles played two doubleheaders last week. On Monday, they traveled to Midway College. They lost the first game, 7-0. Alison Gannaway had 2 singles in the game. Misty Wells, Lauren Combs and Taran Cody each had a hit in the game. The Lady Eagles lost the second game, 11-2. Combs, Wells, and Jessica Music each had singles in the game.
On Thursday, the Lady Eagles hosted Kentucky State University. They lost both games by the score of 10-0. Becky Thomas and Cody each had a hit in the second game. They were unable to get a get any hits in the first game.
This week, they hosted Union College on Monday. They will travel to Owensboro to play Brescia University on Sunday.

The Lady Eagles lost a hard fought doubleheader to Berea last week, 8-4 and 6-5. In the first game, the Lady Eagles had 10 hits. They were led by Alison Gannaway with a double and 4 RBI’s. Kendra Ratliff and Jessica Music each had 2 singles. Krista Hardy, Taran Cody, Misty Wells, Lauren Combs and Elisabeth Hartley each had singles in the game.
In the second game, the Lady Eagles were trailing by one run with the bases loaded and two outs in the last inning. The game ended on a great play by one of the Berea infielders. Gannaway and Hardy each had 3 hits. Becky Thomas had a double. Wells and Ratliff also had singles in the game.
This week, the Lady Eagles were scheduled to play at Midway on Monday afternoon. They will host Kentucky State University on Thursday at 2:00 and Spalding University on Saturday at 1:30.

The Lady Eagles softball team played three doubleheaders last week. On Wednesday, they played at Union College, losing 8-0 and 10-1. In the first game, Becky Thomas had two hits. Jessica Music, Taran Cody, Krista Hardy, and Misty Wells also had hits in the game. In the second game, Hardy and Kayla Lafferty had hits.
On Friday, the Lady Eagles played at Pikeville, losing two games, 9-0 and 11-1. They closed out the week hosting a doubleheader against Brescia University on Saturday. They lost the first game 17-0 and the second game, 9-0. Kendra Ratliff and Jessica Music picked had the only hits in the games for the Lady Eagles.
This week, they are scheduled to host Berea College on Thursday at 5:30.

The Lady Eagles did not play any games during Spring Break. This week, they have three doubleheaders scheduled. They will travel to Union College on Wednesday and Pikeville College on Friday. On Saturday, they will host Brescia University at 11:00 a.m.

LADY EAGLES SOFTBALL HOST PIKEVILLE
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles softball team hosted Pikeville College last Tuesday at the Hindman Park. They lost the doubleheader by the scores of 9-0 and 17-0. Elisabeth Hartley pitched the first game, giving up 8 hits. However, walks and errors plagued the team. Misty wells and Becky Thomas pitched the second game. Taran Cody and Lauren Combs picked up hits in the game.
The Lady Eagles next game is March 21 at Union College.

ALC SOFTBALL TEAM BEGINS SEASON
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles softball team began its season with a doubleheader at Indiana University-Southeast last Friday. The Lady Eagles lost the first game 11-0. Elisabeth Hartley was the pitcher of record. Misty Wells had the only hit for ALC. In the second game, the Lady Eagles lost 10-0. Lauren Combs had the only hit in the game for ALC. Krista Hardy was starting and losing pitcher. They were scheduled to play at Spalding University on Saturday; however, the game was postponed due to snow.
This week, the Lady Eagles will host Pikeville College on Tuesday afternoon at 1:00 at the Hindman Park.

LADY EAGLES SOFTBALL SEASON TO BEGIN
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles softball season will begin this weekend with a doubleheader at Indiana University-Southeast in New Albany, IN at 2:00 on Friday. On Saturday, they will play another doubleheader at Spalding University in Louisville at 1:00.

LADY EAGLES SOFTBALL SEASON ENDS IN KIAC TOURNAMENT
The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles softball season came to an end last Thursday in the KIAC double elimination Tournament in Owensboro. The Lady Eagles lost their first game to Brescia University, 18-0. Later in the day they lost to Midway College 10-3. Mid-Continent University won the tournament. They beat Brescia University in the title game.

The Lady Eagles softball team played only two games last week. Their Wednesday doubleheader at UV@Wise was cancelled due to rain. They played at Brescia University on Sunday, losing both games of the doubleheader. The KIAC double-elimination Conference Tournament will begin on Thursday, May 4. Game times and opponents were unknown at press time.

The Lady Eagles softball team hosted Pikeville College last Thursday. The lost the doubleheader, but they played very well in the first game, losing 6-1. On Sunday, they lost a doubleheader to Brescia University. This Wednesday, the Lady Eagles will travel to Wise, VA to play UV@Wise in a doubleheader. They will play at Spalding University (Louisville) on Saturday and at Brescia University (Owensboro) on Sunday. The KIAC Conference Softball Tournament will begin next Wednesday, May 3 and it will run through Friday, May 5 at Owensboro, KY. Pairings for the tournament are still unavailable.

The Lady Eagles played Kentucky State University, Berea College, Midway College and Spalding University in doubleheaders last week. Although they lost all eight games, the young team seems to be improving and playing better as the season progresses. This week, they will host Pikeville College on Thursday at 6:00. They will also host Brescia University on Sunday. Both dates are doubleheaders

The Lady Eagles softball schedule was interrupted last week by the weather conditions, as they were only able to play four games. On Tuesday, they lost a doubleheader at Midway College. On Thursday, they hosted Kentucky State University in a doubleheader. They lost both games, 9-0 and 10-1. This week, the Lady Eagles were scheduled to travel to Pikeville College on Monday. They are also scheduled to travel to Mid-Continent University on Saturday for a KIAC doubleheader.
