Eagles Baseball Loses on the Road
The Alice Lloyd Eagles baseball club dropped two close games on March 3 on the road in Bristol, Tennessee to the home standing Virginia Intermont Cobras.
Game 1
VI - 9; ALC - 3
The Eagles outhit VI 10-7, but left 15 runners stranded on base. Shortstop Taylor Sewell, second baseman Josh Napier, and DH Tyler Dotson each had 2 hits.
Trevor Corns suffered the loss on the mound.
Game 2
VI - 6; ALC - 5
The Eagles led 5-2 going into the last inning. With darkness falling, the Cobras were able to push 4 runs across the plate in their last at bat to earn the win.
ALC's Kyle Potter had 2 hits including a homer. Tyler Williams suffered the pitching defeat.
The season is now 0-4.
