Eagles Baseball Open Season in Atlanta, GA
The 2010 version of the Alice Lloyd Eagle baseball team made their season debut on February 11 as they opened play on a chilly day against one of the top programs in NCCAA, the Chargers of Atlanta Christian.
Game 1:
ACU - 4; ALC - 2
Both clubs had 8 hits. Eagle’s catcher CJ Lynn led the way with 2 hits. Pitcher Trevor Corns took the loss on the mound.
Game 2:
ACU - 7; ALC 4
The Eagles led 4-3 entering the bottom of the 7th, but Atlanta Christian hit a two round grand slam for the walk off victory.
Right fielder Kyle Potter had 2 of the 9 Eagle hits. Pitcher Trey King suffered the hard-luck loss.
Their record is now 0-2.
