Fall Open House

Register Now!

During Fall Open House, you will be able to tour campus, residence halls and academic departments. A tentative schedule of the day’s activities is as follows:

Location: June Buchanan Alumni Center, 1st Floor

  • 9 – 10 AM: Registration (w/ refreshments in foyer)

Location: June Buchanan Alumni Center, 2nd Floor

  • 10 AM: Welcome
  • 10:30 AM: Information Session
  • 11 AM: Campus Tour
  • NOON: Meet with the Admissions Staff (applications, interviews, etc.)

Students will receive a welcome packet and a free T-shirt.

Fall Open House 2014 is scheduled for November 1st.

Eagle Day Saturday

Eagle Day Saturday

Attending one of our Eagle Day Saturdays will function as your official introduction to college life at ALC. You will be able to speak with our entire Admissions staff and the ALC Admissions Ambassadors.

Hide 2013 Eagle Day Saturday events are scheduled for November 16th and November 30th. Eagle Day Saturdays in 2014 are currently scheduled for February 1st, February 8th, February 22nd, March 1st, March 8th, March 22nd, and March 29th.

Please schedule a campus visit (Monday through Friday) or Eagle Day Saturday ASAP! 

 

Eagle Day Saturday Agenda:

  • 9:30 AM – Registration

  • 10:30 AM – Information Session
  • 10:30 – 11:30 AM – Campus Tour
    Please Note: Campus Tours can extend beyond the allotted hour if the visitors so desire. This is your time to ask questions and become more acquainted with the College!
  • 11:30 – 12:00 PM – Admissions Process (i.e., applications, interviews, etc.)

Also, depending upon our schedule, campus visitors might attend a sporting event or some other special activity.

All students who attend the event will receive a welcome packet and a free T-shirt.

Transfer Day

Transfer DayReady to transfer? Alice Lloyd College’s Transfer Day is the official welcome event for new transfer students. As a new transfer student, you have an exciting transition ahead of you! Alice Lloyd College offers many opportunities for transfers. This event provides an opportune time to schedule your interview, work one-on-one with a transfer coordinator, and meet the Director of Admissions.

This day will provide a transfer student with:

  • a better understanding of the academic and community expectations of an Alice Lloyd College student
  • the ability to feel more prepared to transition into Alice Lloyd College
  • the chance to become acquainted with the resources available (e.g., meeting with Financial Aid)

Registration is required! Please contact the Admissions Office to schedule your appointment at (606) 368-6146.

Transfer Day 2013 is scheduled for November 5th and will begin at 8 AM. Activities will be located in the June Buchanan Alumni Center.

Mary Turner

Mary Turner, Senior Admissions Counselor/Transfer Coordinator

Mary Turner has been an Admissions Counselor for Alice Lloyd College since 2008. She is a 2011 ALC graduate and will graduate from the University of the Cumberlands with a master’s degree in Professional School Counseling in December 2013. She will also be taking on a new position as Transfer Coordinator this fall (2013). She will oversee students who are interested in transferring to ALC alongside recruiting high school seniors. Mary’s work doesn’t stop there — she is also approaching her 4th year coaching the ALC women’s tennis team and The June Buchanan School’s tennis team.

Rebekah Bevins 2

Rebekah Bevins, Admissions Counselor

Rebekah Bevins is a first-year Admissions Counselor for Alice Lloyd College. She is a recent 2013 graduate of ALC with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. Before becoming an Admissions Counselor, she was an Admissions Ambassador for four years and was captain of the ALC volleyball team. Rebekah’s primary focus is recruiting students from West Virginia and Ohio.
