Alumni Giving

The support Alice Lloyd College receives from its alumni is vitally important to the future of the College. Although you are encouraged to give whatever amount you can, it may interest you to know that the fact that you give is more important than the amount of your gift. Please consider the following:

An alumni gift to Alice Lloyd College:

• demonstrates that you appreciate the educational opportunities you received, and your desire to help others, like yourself, receive the same kind of quality education.

• provides direct assistance with special projects that are of particular interest to alumni (examples of past alumni projects include the Founders’ Gravesite, the Campus Entrance Gate Project, and the Campus Bench Project).

• can assist in providing scholarships which ensure that the College can continue to offer its tuition guarantee to students from 108 Appalachian counties.

• is looked at closely by foundations, corporations and individuals, who are considering making substantial gifts to the College. These organizations and individuals view alumni support as a direct indication of the institution’s worthiness of their support. They are much more interested in the number of alumni who support the school than the dollar amount of each gift.
