GAME 2
HC – 4 | Alice Lloyd – 3

ALC looked solid at the start as they grabbed an early lead, but unfortunately, they could not hold it in the later innings.

The Lady Eagles jumped out of the gates quickly as they produced 2 runs in the opener and one more in the third.

Clark provided the big blows as she had a double and RBI in each inning.

Trailing 3-0 in the fifth inning, Hiwassee earned one of those back. They would then tie the score one inning later with 2 more runs.

Unfortunately, ALC went down in the top half of the seventh.

In the bottom of the inning, the hosts would get a single with two outs and then watch their runner steal second.

The next Tiger batter then lined a blooper toward the outfield. The play resulted in a close play at home plate, but unfortunately, the tag was just late as HC earned the walk-off victory.

For the Eagles, in addition to Clark’s 2 doubles, sophomore Jada Estep was hot as she collected 3 hits, including 1 double. Freshmen Abby Stambaugh added 2 hits (1 double) while fellow freshman Hannah Buchannan smashed a triple. Minks added a single to the effort.

On the mound, Brewer pitched excellently for five innings. Gilliam came on in relief and suffered the hard-luck defeat.
