Pippa Passes: The Alice Lloyd Eagles dominated against the visiting Welch College Flames to earn a decisive victory, 104-69. The matchup occurred Thursday night.

In the opening five half, the hosts sank seven trifectas and would produce 48 points They would take a 14 point lead (48-34) at intermission. In the second half, backed by improved shooting, the Eagles would explode for 56 points to put the contest completely out of reach as were never seriously challenged.

For ALC (5-7), five players reached double digits. Sophomore guard Austin Combs led the way with 18 points. He was followed by junior forward Chance Cornett with 14 points. Junior guard Blake Smith was right behind with 13 points while sophomore guard Noah Young added 11 points and handed out 5 assists.  Freshman Bryce Slone added 10 points. Senior forward Simon Christon grabbed 14 rebounds.

The victorious club connected on 48% (36-75) from the field and 34% (12-35) from long range. From the foul line, they hit an impressive 80% (20-25). They also had 47 rebounds, 12 steals, and 22 assists.

Welch (2-8) was led by Newman Ward with 17 points. His club shot 43.9% (25-57) from the field and 33.3% (8-24) from long range. They sank 52.4% (11-21) from the charity stripe. They also had 26 rebounds, 4 steals, and 5 assists.

The Eagles return to action on Sunday when they travel to Georgia for a two-game road trip.
