ALC Women's Cross Country Team at Nationals

We award the Women’s Student-Athlete of the Week honor to the ALC “Running Lady Eagles” Cross Country Team.

In the NCCAA DII National Cross Country Championship, held at Point Lookout (MO), the Lady Eagles finished as National Runner-Up, which is the highest female team placement in school history. Senior Brittney Buttrey finished the 5K (3.1) mile race in 20:36, which broke the school record and placed her in 4th place overall. Additionally, junior Kacey Troutt finished the race in 20:51, which placed her 5th. Both ladies were named to the NCCAA DII All-American squad for their fantastic placement. They become the first two women’s runners in school history to be so honored.
