GAME 1
ALC – 7 | UCC – 13

In game one, the visitors got off to a good start as they would score one in the third and add 3 in the fourth to vault to a 4-0 advantage. The hosts would respond with a big 5 spot in the bottom of the inning and add an extra 2 runs one inning later to lead 7-4. Incredibly, in the last inning, some timely hitting by the visitors coupled with some critical errors, allowed 9 runs to score, and the visitors won a shocker, 13-4.

Samantha Sturgill pounded out three hits while Mercedez Gilliam and Jada Estep each smacked two. Gilliam slammed a home run while Sturgill, Estep, Morgan Albury, and Alexis Napier each rapped triples.

Albury suffered the hard-luck loss on the mound as she allowed 4 hits over five innings and struck out 4.

Madison Tabor earned the win. ALC won the hitting battle 13-8

GAME 2

In game two, UCC wasted no time as they scored 3 quick runs in the first and added 1 in the third.

The Lady Eagles countered with 1 in the first and 4 big ones in the third to take the lead at 5-4. Clermont tied things in their next at-bat, only to see the home club answer with 2 of their own in the bottom of the inning to leap ahead 7-5. Unlike the first game, the home club kept the pressure on as they slammed the door shut for the win.

ALC was led in hits by McKenzie Brewer with three. Jada Estep and Lydia McIntosh each collected two while Madison Gaines blasted a home run.

Kaitlyn Clark-Wyatt earned the win as she allowed 11 hits, but only 2 earned runs. Christine Valvano took the loss. Each club had 11 hits.
