PIPPA PASSES, Ky. – The Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles hosted NCCAA opponent, Bluefield College, on Thursday for a doubleheader with the Rams.

GAME 1
BC – 14 | ALC – 0

In game one, the Lady Rams received a solid pitching performance to win going away.

ALC fell behind early as Bluefield jumped out to score four in the first and eight in the second. Meanwhile, the Lady Eagles were kept in check when they had the opportunity to bat.

McKenzie Brewer had the lone hit for the hosts who were outhit 9-1.

Laken Sparks earned the win allowing just 1 hit. Morgan Albury suffered the loss on the mound.

GAME 2
BC – 17 | ALC – 6

In game two, BC pounded the ball in earning the victory.

The Lady Rams put up five runs in the opening inning, added one in the third, and two in the fourth to vault to an 8-0 advantage.

The Lady Eagles answered in the bottom of the fourth on consecutive singles from Jada Estep and Mercedez Gilliam. Then, Madison Gaines smacked a double to drive in both runners and shrink the score to 8-2.

In the following inning, the visitors pounded the ball to the tune of nine runs. ALC tried valiantly to come-back in the bottom of the inning as McKenzie Brewer rapped a double, Estep hit a single, and Gilliam crushed a triple. Wyatt later singled and the hosts also used two errors by Bluefield to add a run. Four runs had crossed the plate when, unfortunately, the third out of the inning ended the contest.

BC outhit their hosts 18-7 as Estep and Gilliam had 2 hits apiece. Gaines had 2 RBI’s.

Cameron Pearson took the win and Kaitlyn Clark-Wyatt suffered the loss.
