On Wednesday, April 11th the ALC Impact Club hosted a 5k run and cookout event to raise money for a local community member, Shauna Yoder. Shauna was born with arthrogryposis, a condition that affects her joints and muscles. She recently had to purchase a new van and have it specially customized to fit her needs, which was a very costly process.

Five ALC students participated in the 5k: Ryan Morris, John Driskill, Brittany Buttrey, Zach Templeton, and Cheyenne Boggs. Ryan won first place, followed by John in second. After the race, the Impact Club hosted a free campus-wide cookout with hotdogs, chips, music, and games. All 120 hot dogs were gone in less than 2 hours!

The majority of the funds raised will be donated to Shauna Yoder and her family.
