The ALC Men’s Golf Team played in the Patriot Invitational hosted by the University of the Cumberlands at Crooked Creek Golf Course in London, Kentucky. The field included NAIA 47th ranked Cumberlands and 54th ranked Georgetown. It was cold, wet and windy. Scoring was very difficult. The tournament was won by fellow RSC member Brescia University, who shot 303 the first round and 313 the second round for 616 and a 4 shot victory over Georgetown College. Trevor Brown of Brescia University was the medalist for the tournament shooting 75 the first round and 74 the second round for a 149, and a 4 shot victory over 5 other players tied at 153. 

Eagles golfers hit the ball very well in both rounds but had trouble with the short game. Jared Albright shot a pair of 78’s for 156 to finish tied for 11th. Jared was -1 for the first 9 holes of the second round and was at or near the lead after 27 holes in the 36 hole tournament. Tyler Brewer struggled the first round shooting a 92, but came back with a 79 the second round for 171, good for 30th place. Isaiah Penley shot 88 both rounds for 176 and 33rd place. Aaron Minor shot 90/87 for a 177 and 34th place. As a team, Eagles golfers shot 348/332 for 680 and 6th of 7. Results are posted here.

Eagles next tournament is the ALC Spring Invitational at Battlefield Golf Club in Richmond, Kentucky, on March 31st and April 1st.
