The NCCAA Mideast Region Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles traveled to Cincinnati Christian University on Sunday to face the CCU Lady Eagles in a doubleheader. Following are recaps of each contest.

GAME 1
UCC- 15 | Alice Lloyd- 0

The hosts displayed their firepower by scoring 5 runs in each of the first two innings to put the contest out of reach. CCU outhit their guests 10-1. Samantha Sturgill had the lone hit for ALC.

Pitcher Kaila Sturgell went 3 innings to earn the win, allowing 1 hit while striking out 3. Caitlynn Wyatt took the pitching loss, allowing 10 runs on 7 hits.

GAME 2
UCC-14 | Alice Lloyd- 0

Game two was close until CCU pulled away with a big 8-run third inning. The home club outhit ALC 14-3. Samantha Sturgill smacked 2 hits, including a double, while McKenzie Brewer added a single.

Cincy’s Kianah Towe went 3 innings to earn the win. She allowed 2 hits and struck out 7. Morgan Albury took the pitching loss as she gave up 12 earned runs on 12 hits with 2 strikeouts.
