NEW ALBANY, Ind. – The 2017-18 All-River States Conference Women’s Basketball Teams & Awards are announced at RiverStatesConference.com. Alice Lloyd College Head Coach John Mills was named Coach of the Year. Twin sisters Kayla and Miranda Wilson were named to the All-RSC First and Second Team, respectively. 

Alice Lloyd College head coach John Mills was picked as the RSC Coach of the Year. The Eagles were picked in the preseason to finish fifth in their division and 10th overall in the conference, but they take a record of 22-4 overall, 15-3 RSC, into the playoffs as one of the No. 1 seeds and the RSC West Division champions.

Alice Lloyd College guard Kayla Wilson made the first team at 13.3 points and a team-high 7.1 rebounds per game for the RSC West Division champion Eagles. She also averaged 4.1 assists and 2.3 steals per outing and led the league in three-point percentage at 50. She led the conference in Assist/Turnover ratio and finished second in two other categories. Incredibly, she finished in the top 10 in the conference in twelve different categories. She was also selected to the Champions of Character Team.

The All-RSC Second Team had 10 players from nine different schools. Alice Lloyd College guard Miranda Wilson was selected to this team. She averaged 13.2 points and led the conference in assists at 5.2 per game and total assists at 138. She also averaged 4.4 rebounds and 2.5 steals per outing. Additionally, she led the league in three-point percentage at 50.4% and finished second in two other categories. Incredibly, she finished in the top 10 in the conference in nine different categories.

The Lady Eagles will host Point Park University tonight in the first round of the River States Conference Tournament. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
