We award the Eagles Female Student-Athlete of the Week honor to standout senior guard Kayla Wilson.

Wilson, a native of Corbin, Kentucky, was her steady self in leading her club to a split on the road in two matchups.

In the big 83-62 win at Kentucky Christian University on January 18, she finished with 19 points on 5-8 field goals (4-6 trifectas) and added 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 5 steals. In the 78-71 conference defeat at the hands of Rio Grande University (Record 21-1; Ranked #21 in NAIA DII) on January 21, she once more performed brilliantly with 15 points on 5-11 field goals, while adding 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals. 

For the week, she averaged 17 points on 52.6% shooting from the floor (55.5% from three-point range), 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4.5 steals per game.  She has helped lead her club to a 13-3 record and they are currently in first place in the Western Division of the River States Conference at 7-2. They are also ranked 7th in the nation in the latest NCCAA poll.
