Pippa Passes, KY: The Alice Lloyd College Eagles saw six players achieve double-figure scoring as they broke the century mark for the sixth time this season in a 104-86 victory over the visiting Midway University Eagles. The contest was played Tuesday night.

From the tipoff, the two squads battled to put points on the scoreboard in an up-and down-affair. Midway would take the early advantage and hold it for over half the period before the host Eagles went on a solid run to jump ahead by double figures. Alice Lloyd would lead 54-40 at intermission.

In the second half, MU refused to go away, but they could never get the margin within striking range as the hosts used their balanced attack to keep their foes at bay.

For ALC (9-6; 3-4 RSC), sophomore guard Blake Smith  (6-13 FG) along with sophomore forward Chance Cornett  (7-10 FG) led the way with 17 points apiece; they added 7 and  6 rebounds. Freshman guard Timmy Dalton (5-11 FG) and senior big man Jake Allen (7-10 FG) both finished with 15 points, while senior guard Austin Crisp and junior forward Dondre Warren (6-9 FG) each added 12 points. Warren and Dalton each had double-doubles as they hauled in 13 and 10 rebounds respectively while Crisp handed out 6 assists.  Five players each had 1 steal.

Alice Lloyd shot 49.4% (40-81) from the floor and finished 30.8% (8-26) from behind the arc, and 69.6% (16-23) from the foul line. They also added 37 rebounds, 14 assists, and 5 steals.

MC, (5-10; 2-5 RSC) was led in scoring by guards DJ Townsend and Ty Sparling, each with 14 points. Their club finished shooting 44% (33-75) from the floor and 31 % (9-29) from behind the arc. They shot 61.1% (11-18) from the foul line, and also added 36 rebounds, 6 assists, and 7 steals.

ALC next returns to action on Thursday, January 11th when they journey to Wilmore for a big conference showdown at Asbury University. Tipoff is set for 7:30 pm.
