We award the Eagles Male Student-Athlete of the Week honor to sophomore guard Blake Smith.
Smith, a native of Manchester, Kentucky, performed well in leading his club to a split in two games this week.
In the high-scoring 105-102 victory at Kentucky Christian University on January 18, he scored 27 points on 10-15 field goals (4-5 trifectas) and added 6 rebounds and 2 assists. In the Eagles 104-85 defeat at Rio Grande University, he led the club with 25 points on 8-16 field goals (2-4 trifectas) while adding 4 rebounds, 4 steals, and 1 assist.
In the two games, he averaged 26 points on 58% shooting from the floor (60% from three-point range), 5 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1.5 assists.
