NEW ALBANY, Ind. — Alice Lloyd (Ky.) College senior Miranda Wilson led her team to a pair of conference wins to claim River States Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for games played Nov. 27-Dec. 3.

A 5-7 guard from Corbin, Ky., Wilson averaged 18.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game to power the Eagles to conference wins over Cincinnati Christian and at (RV) IU Kokomo. She shot 48 percent from the floor, 40 percent (4 for 10) from outside the arc and made all six of her free throws.

Wilson started out with 17 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals in an 89-75 home win over Cincinnati Christian. She made a pair of 3-pointers in that game. She then put up 19 points, 10 rebounds and six steals in an 85-84, overtime win at IU Kokomo. That game also featured a couple of treys.

On the season, she is leading her club in scoring, rebounds, assists, and steals and is currently fifth in the nation in steals per game (3.87) and seventh in assists (5.75) according to the NAIA DII statistics. Additionally, these numbers place her third and second nationally in the NCCAA DI statistics.

Alice Lloyd’s record is 7-1, 2-0 RSC and plays at Brescia University Dec. 9 for its next game.
