Owensboro, KY: Senior guard Miranda Wilson and freshman Alexandria Clifton each scored 16 points while senior guard Kayla Wilson added a double-double to propel the Alice Lloyd College Lady Eagles to a  big 76-60 victory over the home standing Brescia University Lady Bearcats Saturday afternoon in RSC play.

 In the opening quarter, ALC came out focused on the defensive end and held the hosts to just 8 points. They would lead 16-8 after the first.

In the second stanza, the Lady Eagles would quickly increase their lead as they outscored the Lady Bearcats 21-16. The visitors would take a 37-24 lead at intermission.

As the third period began, BU would creep back, outscoring Alice Lloyd 21-16. Still, the home club trailed 53-45 entering the final period.

In the final quarter, the Lady Eagles would step up their play and slam the door shut. A 23-15 advantage enabled them to pull away for the nice win.

For Alice Lloyd (8-1; 3-0 RSC), Miranda Wilson and Clifton led the way with 16 points apiece. Wilson added 6 rebounds and 2 assists while the big center Clifton added 5 rebounds.

Kayla Wilson kept up her impressive play as she contributed 13 points, snagged 10 rebounds, and added 2 assists while freshman guard Hayley Hall added 12 points and 7 rebounds.

 BU (3-7; 1-2 RSC) was led by Haley Cook with 16 points.

Alice Lloyd finished shooting 40.5% (30-74) from the field and 30.4% (7-23) from deep while connecting on 56.3% (9-16) from the foul line. They also added 51 rebounds, 10 assists, and 5 steals.

Brescia finished shooting 37.1% (23-62) from the floor and 6-20 (30%) from behind the arc. They shot 56.3% (9-16) from the foul line. They also added 40 rebound, 9 assists, and 4 steals.

ALC returns to action this Tuesday, December 12th for a big conference showdown with the Indiana University-Southeast Lady Grenadiers at 2 pm.
