Pippa Passes, KY: The Alice Lloyd College torched the nylons as they sank 63.2% from the floor to hammer the visiting Cincinnati Christian University Eagles 113-65 on Tuesday night.

From the tip-off, the hosts came ready to play. The score was tied at nine before ALC went on a 16-6 run to lead by eleven points with 11:38 showing.

Alice Lloyd then began to feed the ball to center Jake Allen or guard Austin Crisp, who apparently, couldn’t miss. The two seniors would combine to score 25 points, and help propel their club to a stunning 58-27 advantage at intermission. The boys from Caney sank 72% for the stanza.

In the second half, it would continue to be all home team as everyone got involved in the action. Alice Lloyd extended their cushion to 40 with eleven minutes still remaining, and would lead by as many as 52 in a completely stunning performance.

For the victors (7-1), six players reached double figures. They were led in scoring by Allen who was a perfect 9-9 from the floor to finish with 21 points. Crisp shot 8-9 from the field for 18 points and added a game-high 5 assists. They were joined by freshman guard Timmy Dalton who shot 7-12 to finish with 15 points and added 2 steals. Junior sharpshooting guard Ryan House came off the bench to add 11 points while sophomore forward Ian Lee and freshman guard Noah Young contributed 11 and 10 points off the bench, respectively. Junior Sean Ross and sophomore Chance Cornett led the squad with 6 rebounds apiece.

Alice Lloyd shot 63.2% (48-76) from the floor and finished 53.8% (14-26) from behind the arc. They connected on 60%% (3-5) from the foul line, and also added 38 rebounds, 24 assists, and 7 steals.

CCU, (3-4), which was led in scoring by forward Blake Walsman’s 19 points, finished shooting 38.5% (25-65) from the floor and 22.2% (6-27) from behind the arc. They shot 69.2% (9-13) from the foul line, and also added 23 rebounds, 8 assists, and 7 steals.

ALC returns to action this Thursday when they journey to Morehead, Kentucky, for an exhibition match against the Morehead State University Eagles. They follow that up on Saturday when they journey to Kokomo, Indiana, to face RSC Conference foe, Indiana University-Kokomo at 3:00 pm, then travel to Owensboro, Kentucky, on December 8 to battle conference opponent Brescia University at 3:00 pm central. They then return home on Tuesday, December 12th for a big conference showdown with the Indiana University-Southeast Grenadiers at 4:00 pm.
