PIPPA PASSES, KY: The Alice Lloyd College Eagles battled to the very end, eventually succumbing at the hands of the 19th ranked Indiana University Southeast Grenadiers 68-61. The River States Conference game was played on Tuesday.

In the opening half, the hosts jumped out at the 14:18 mark by four (10-6) only to watch the visitors go on a 14-4 run over the next five minutes to lead 20-14. Unfortunately for the home team, IUS guard Jacob Mills would sink back-to-back bombs on his club’s next two possessions while the hosts would miss the front end of a bonus and an 18-foot jumper on theirs.

Southeast would then ice the game as guard Demetrius Stanton would sink a third consecutive bomb with 1:18 remaining to set the score 68-59.

For ALC (4-7; 2-2 RSC), House led with 13 points.  Senior forward Mason Pack, junior forward Jake Allen, and freshman guard Blake Smith each contributed 10 points. Allen led in rebounds with 8 while junior guard Austin Crisp handed off 4 assists.
