The ALC Eagles men’s Golf Team played in the 2016 UPike Fall Invitational at Stonecrest Golf Course in Prestonsburg, KY on October 2nd and 3rd. Eagles golfers shot 318 the first round and 311 the second round to finish at 629, good for 4th of 6 teams. Golf team captain, junior Jared Albright, shot 76/72 and a 146 for fifth place among the 36 players competing, and a place on the all-tournament team, the second all-tournament honor Jared has earned as an Eagle golfer. Cumberland University won the men’s championship with a 597 for the two rounds, beating host UPike in a tiebreaker.

This was another solid performance by the Eagles golf team. Senior Tyler Brewer had another strong tournament, shooting 78/80 for a 158 and 14th place. Freshman Aaron Minor shot 80/79 for a 159 and 15th place. Senior Zach Hancock shot 84/80 for 164 and 20th place and senior Justin Smith shot 85 both rounds for 190 and 26th place. The Eagles golf team plays next in the RSC Fall Tournament at Lassing Pointe Golf Course in Union, KY on October 10th and 11th.
